The Cork Business Association, in partnership with Cork City Council, is hosting a Cleaning & Greening Day on Lower Oliver Plunkett Street (Impress Dry Cleaners to Welcome Inn) on Tuesday, 24th June 2025. This initiative will give the street a spring refresh, including power washing footpaths, painting, planting, and refreshing street furniture. As a business on this street, we invite you to join us in making a positive impact. We’ll provide cleaning supplies, brushes, and paint, and together we’ll work to enhance the area.

Exciting News for Oliver Plunkett Street Traders:
Following the phenomenol success of our inaugural Cleaning and Greening on North Main Street, CBA will be hosting Cleaning & Greening on the lower half of Oliver Plunkett Street (from Vodafone to The Welcome Inn). We're supported by both Cork City Council & McKechnie Cleaning Services on this initiative, and we're asking for your support too - to join us on the street that morning and get involved.

What exactly will happen
We'll start meeting from 9am at the Old Oak Bar on Oliver Plunkett Street. Coffee and a light breakfast will be available.
We are asking all volunteers to pre-register their details with us, and we can then prepare a schedule of tasks to be completed. Jobs will include painting, planting, polishing and washing. In advance, a deep clean and power wash of the Street will be completed.
For those that last the full morning, Market Lane will serve a light lunch from 12.30.
